InterNAP
Using its patented technology and the existing Internet network infrastructure, Internap created an innovative way to route data and avoid the Internet¿s points of congestion. Rather than relying on access to a single Internet Service Provider (ISP), the Internap® Performance IP service intelligently routes across major Internet backbones via the Internap P-NAP facilities. This insulates traffic from the risk of network outages, providing reliable, stable and consistent connectivity.
Internap has developed proprietary route control platforms that overcome the limitations of traditional routing policies. Their technology monitors the performance of each Internet backbone, routing your traffic across the best path to provide faster and more reliable delivery than traditional routing methods. The Internap route control technology considers path characteristics like latency, packet loss, route stability and congestion when making routing decisions. Decisions are made dynamically and automatically to account for network performance changes, without the need for manual intervention.

Highwinds "Rolling Thunder" Network
The RollingThunder network consists of a ringed, redundant architecture made up of multiple 10 Gbps connections per POP. We also have a unique peering strategy with a massive roster of peered networks worldwide, further differentiating the RollingThunder network as one of the most powerful and affordable around.
Highwinds maintains more than 70 points of presence throughout North America, South America and Europe including the following locations:
North America: Ashburn, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Newark, Phoenix, San Francisco, San Jose/Sunnyvale, Seattle and Toronto.
South America: Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Europe: Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London and Paris.

The Cogent International Backbone Network
Cogent's end-to-end optical network consists of multiple metropolitan IP-over-WDM fiber rings located in Cogent's major markets throughout the United States and Europe. Cogent currently has a presence in over 86 markets throughout the United States and Europe. Cogent's network provides each building or colocenter with up to 5 Gbit/s of dedicated bandwidth. Layer 3 edge routers in each building are connected to Cisco Layer 3 Terabit core routers over two diverse optical paths. These core routers are tied together via a a multi-national backbone network consisting of multiple 10 Gbit/s DWDM optical links. With a currently implemented capacity of 80 Gbit/s in the United States and 40 Gbit/s in Europe, Cogent's multi-national IP network is the largest in the world and is scalable to a total capacity of over one Terabit.
